Didn't work for me at all., February 28, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: GUNNAR Computer Eyewear - Phenom Earth Frame (Personal Computers) For some reason this pair of glasses made my eyes very sore in a short amount of time, despite the general very positive reviews here. The lenses seem to have a magnifying effect. As soon as I put them on, I could feel that my eye muscles were forced to work hard and adjusting to the seemingly closer distance of the monitor. Within half of an hour, my eyes endured much more strain than without the glasses and I needed to take them off. I have 20/20 vision and didn't think that the glasses would be incompatible with me. Perhaps I need them to be custom-made for me.

I can now do hours of work at a computer workstation or read paper without any eye-strain.

Crisp and Clear, September 30, 2011 This review is from: GUNNAR Computer Eyewear - Phenom Earth Frame (Personal Computers) Working in front of a computer screen for the past 20+ years I never was bothered much with headaches or eyestrain thankfully, and with using a 23" lcd for my work it makes it that much better.
I bought these more out of curiosity than anything else, figuring if they did help me stay in front of the screen longer with less eye fatigue all the better. I have to say these glasses make looking at the screen more enjoyable, and after wearing for a few days they make a noticeable difference. I don't wear them all day long or even everyday, but if I am working on a brighter screen (white background) such as typing this review or working on a word document they do make a huge difference. My work is cad design, so I am not bothered as much by contrast as I work with a black background, however many of my colleagues use a white background and I could see how they could benefit even more so by wearing these.
