definitely saved me, December 19, 2008 By mark epperson "mepperson" (palo alto, ca) - See all my reviews This review is from: GUNNAR Computer Eyewear - Phenom Mint Frame (Personal Computers) was having bad headaches by midmorning almost every day. went to the doctor and he checked me and said my eyes were fine but wanted to sell me some $600 glasses even though i was technically 20/20, but the girl at the front desk is a freind of my girlfriend and told me I should check these out. i bought them online and can say they are perfect for what i need. from the first time i put them on, i was sold. instant difference. no more mid-morning headaches...in fact I'm back to normal and do full day's work plus go home and get back on personal email etc in the eve. dont know if they work for everybody, but they are pefect for me and i saved huge $$$.

I have good vision, but had begun to have trouble focusing near to far quickly. I also began having headaches and my eyes felt as though they were straining.
I ordered these based on a review from gizmodo and I do not regret it. The difference is immediate. I felt my eyes relax and my screen looked clearer. If I had to make a complaint, it would be that the lenses give the screen a bit of yellow tint. However, this does not bother me for I no longer have the headaches and/or eyestrain. I would give it 4.5 stars because of the yellow tint, but rounded up to five for default. :)
Make sure to read the instructions, they are NOT to be used as sunglasses or while driving!
It's been a month and I'm used to the yellow tint. These glasses are great! I'm considering buying a second pair for home!

Everyone seemed to say great things about them, but could a pair of lenses really do that much?
After trying them on and putting them through long stretches (including an all-nighter on the laptop, I'd say they really do work. The screen has a more natural appearance; the poster who said it now looks more incandescent than fluorescent basically nailed it. It's much less glaring, and I did notice reduced (really non-existent) eye strain when I put them on. You really notice the difference once you take them off; I found myself saying, "Wow--I had to put up with that screen for 3 years!"
The screen looks slightly larger with the glasses, but it's not a huge difference. I should note that I'm somewhat nearsighted, and I understand that the glasses are meant for those with perfect vision. Actually, they fit pretty well over my regular glasses (which are quite small), so that wasn't a problem... Read more
