I look like a tool, but my eyes stopped bleeding, November 9, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: GUNNAR Computer Eyewear - Halogen Cloud Frame (Personal Computers) Graphic design and video games were causing my eyes to turn red like lord satan. Drops would help, but the strain wouldn't go away.
PROS: Gunnars work, as long as you're only staring at the computer screen. You'll start to feel light-headed if you look away. Super light frames, wear them for hours and forget they're on...until someone makes a comment.
CONS: Douche central styling. Be prepared for comments like "what's it like in the matrix?" and "are you really the 3rd member of Daft Punk?" I considered spray painting the rims black, but, ya know, I am the third member of Daft Punk. Deal with it.

Gunnar Optiks L6089/2-C001 Sphere Halogen Digital Performance Eyewear with i-AMP Lens Technology (Onyx). A lot of words which don't really say much, but the name is not overly important. The real issue is starring at a bright screen all day long, and these certainly help with that. They took me about a week to fully adjust to, and when I take them off I realize the benefit of wearing them. The cold-cutting and harsh blueish-whites would still be attacking my eyes if not for the amber tint of these optics. I still feel the need to rub my eyes from time-to-time (usually associated with stretching and yawning, but not necessarily going to the bathroom), but the pain and strain from hours of starring is gone, as are itching and redness. Now my eyes are only tired when the rest of my body is tired as well. I find my eyes are able to endure longer than the rest of me, perhaps now I need a new chair, as well as diet and exercise.

The glasses have alleviated my dry eye and Computer Vision Syndrome. The effect is like my vision being in the zone while staring at the monitor, it's hard to explain.
My only grievance and I wish I knew this before hand; the glasses can only really be useful for Computer and/or Gaming. There is a slight magnification on the lenses that expands everything within 4 feet. (it makes my TV dramatically stand out from the wall like a weird 3D effect) Unfortunately this effect also makes objects in the distance appear slightly warped/blurry. So for those looking for dual purpose shades, I recommend looking elsewhere, these should not be used for night driving or target practice.
Other things to note:
The frames are made in China
My model has the uni-bridge nose guard.
The screws for what appears to be tension control are recessed in the hinges.
